Manta Point is home to Komodo National Park's longest reef and one of the world's best spots to observe oceanic manta rays (Mobula birostris) in their natural habitat. These gentle giants, with wingspans reaching up to 7 meters, gather here year-round to feed on plankton-rich waters, creating a mesmerizing underwater ballet.
Snorkeling with manta rays is included in all our trip itineraries. You'll spend approximately 1-1.5 hours in the water, floating above the reef as these magnificent creatures glide gracefully beneath you. Our guides know the best spots and times for manta encounters, ensuring you get the most out of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Close to Manta Point lies Taka Makassar, internationally known as "The Paradise Sandbank" — a breathtaking blend of white and pink sand surrounded by cerulean waters and flourishing reefs. This sandbank appears during low tide and is one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in all of Komodo.
