Komodo Island — Home of the Dragons

As the largest island in Komodo National Park, Komodo Island is the legendary home of the Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) — the world's largest living lizard. This UNESCO World Heritage Site hosts approximately 1,000 dragons alongside a thriving ecosystem of deer, water buffalo, wild horses, and over 70 species of birds.

Komodo Dragon Trekking

Our guided treks on Komodo Island are led by experienced local rangers who know the dragons' behavior and ensure safe encounters. You'll typically walk for about 1-2 hours through the forest and savanna, observing these incredible prehistoric creatures in their natural habitat. Dragons can grow up to 3 meters long and weigh over 70 kg — seeing them in the wild is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
